Can any one tell me what is the difference between between Blog Commenting and Guest Posting?

which one will help to rank my keyword better in search engine results? Since I am still having less experience in SEO hence I could not distinguish these points.

Commenting is what you do when you leave comment in the comment section. And when you submit a guest post to get published on another site is Guest posting.
