In guest posts, place your link naturally within the content, preferably in relevant anchor text or in the author bio section, ensuring it adds value and aligns with the topic contextually.

So, here is the question where should put the link? Should I put it in the author's bio section? Or, should I find a relevant place in the content and stuff it in with a relevant anchor text. As, I have been doing a lot of reading in this forum. And people are often suggested here that I should make the links more and more relevant.I’ve looked into this a lot too, and from everything I’ve read (plus my own experience), it’s way better to place the link within the actual content of the guest post rather than in the author bio. Why? Because when the link is in the middle of the article—contextually placed and relevant to the topic—it looks more natural to both readers and search engines. Google tends to give more SEO value to links that are part of the content, especially if they’re surrounded by related text and use a relevant anchor (not something generic like “click here”). Links in the author bio, on the other hand, are often seen as promotional and don’t carry as much weight. They’re still useful for branding or personal exposure, but not ideal if you’re looking to get the most SEO benefit. So yeah, if the site owner is allowing just one do-follow link, I’d definitely use it in the body of the article, in a spot that feels natural and helpful to the reader. That way, you get the most value out of it. Hope that helps! |
