What are your experience with them?
And I also want to know that when a forum page acts as a resource page. Then how much chance does it have to rank better compared to other static pages?
Since resource pages are extremely hard to get links from. As, owners do not even bother to give reply. What do you do?

Good resource pages will always rank whether they are from forum or blog.

I have got listed one of our page in the major blogs.
Traffic that comes to referral is very small. But it brings a steady amount.
Coming to point how I got it. I contacted the owner personally through phone call since I knew the fella so it was easy. But many will find this the hardest part.
And @
avinash Is right. If the resource page is good then it will get traffic no matter what. I have not seen any forum posts to rank though. But I myself goes to many resource pages which are on forums. Because they are seriously good.

I have one link from a linux resource page. Boy it drives traffic. Almost everyday atleast 20 referral traffic comes from it.
I did nothing for it. Just one day saw it.

I’ve had decent results bumping up low-competition keywords by stacking a few foundational links, and the
base SEO link package helped me keep things tidy without overdoing it. I liked that it came with a mix of profiles and a short warranty, so I could tweak things if something didn’t stick. It’s a chill way to add some authority without diving into heavy outreach.
