Should I target iPhones users separately?

Our site is a ecom site. And our web developer who will also be developing our app for the site has a opinion that if we build a separate version of app just for iPhones then it will be easy to manage. Should we agree with him?

iPhone operates a separate OS so its more likely that you build a separate version of your app for it.

In my opinion separate OS needs separate apps anyway. You can create one super app for all OS's but they are very hard and pretty expensive to maintain.
