In the past couple of months, Google has been updating its algorithm. No longer will AI slop rank. If you are not following the proper EEAT practices in the content writing, you are truly missing out on a huge opportunity. In April alone, 10% of the top 10 dropped out of the top 100. It's not just you who is down in traffic. AI overviews being on top of search don't help much with traffic, but they do help a ton with conversions if used correctly.
