For me in 2026, the links that still work are guest posts on real niche blogs, contextual links inside genuine articles, and profiles on active sites in my own industry. Bulk forum profiles and random directories mostly get ignored now, or the pages never get indexed. Fewer, relevant links have worked much better than lots of low-quality ones.
