Difference between Session and Visits

What is the difference between session and visits in Google Analytics? Can anybody explain it.

Both are same thing. A user when comes to your site at a particular time then its called as session or visit.

Session and visit are two different things. When the user clicks on a web page or website then it is called as visit and the time duration which the user stay, called as a session.

A user visits a website that is called a VISIT, now same user checks 5 of your pages that is called a SESSION. Visit refers to the number of time the user visit the page. A session refers to the active user on a particular page.

Visit and Session both are different, someone is clicking on your site that is called visit. how much time he spends on a page called session. if he leaves before 15 mins it is called a session.
