It s now confirmed that in AGI more layoff are coming in Q2.

What do you guys make of this?

Amazon stocks will be fine. Amazon isn't laying off due the advancements of AI or because of the advantages that AI is creating in the work place. They are laying off people who were actually working on the AGI.

Exactly. 

And what is a AGI anyway? It is a distant fantasy. These LLM models are nothing but a auto-correct. They can be useful yes but for now they have hit the limit.

Every eye is on July 30 now. Amazon will be publishing their second quarter earning's report of 2026. AWS has grown significantly but after the Corning's stock collapse it can be make or break.

I understand why news of potential Q2 layoffs would make many employees anxious. I think it's best to wait for official announcements before drawing conclusions, while also preparing for different possibilities and supporting colleagues during uncertain times. EaglerCraft

Interesting will be the first week of August. When large amount of SpaceX stocks will be dumped and people will look into new stocks with the money. Even if a considerable portion of that money remains in tech, Amazon could be a beneficiary.

AI couldn't measure the hype on the ground or the reality of the foreseeable future which we predict. Hence they will state they are overvalued. Ask about Apple you will see similar answer.
