I believe adsense is not able to track valid visits. Something is wrong with their system here.

Though the latest Core Update, which took place in March 2026, was finalized by the beginning of April, much volatility has been noticed particularly on May 8th. In contrast to previous years when Google used to adjust its rankings from time to time, it has now started to make real-time adjustments in results. It is now common for a site to fluctuate between positions 1 and 6 within a single day. This is a deliberate "testing" phase where Google rotates different sites into top spots to measure user engagement and lead conversion potential.

I think it is a bug. I have reported it let's see how much time does it actually take.

It's not just you who is down in traffic.  AI overviews being on top of search don't help much with traffic, but they do help a ton with conversions if used correctly. I wrote an article about it https://bkthemes.design/blog/april-core-update

agreed! many of keywords i saw out of 100 now
