Which is more Better – an App or a Mobile Website?
#1
The decision to whether build a native app or a mobile website entirely depends on your end goals. If you want to develop an interactive game, then developing an app is probably the best option. But, if your goal is to reach out to a wider audience with mobile-friendly content, then building a website is the solution. In case, you decide to have both a mobile website as well as a mobile app, then it's quite rare that you might get the app without already having a mobile website in place.

Mobile site is important to get ranked these days. But if an app is more effective in the project at hand then you should go for it.

It depends upon the type of service your providing to user, have a mobile website gives lot of options to user and having a app is also beneficial for your business because it is noticed that mobile app provides satisfactory results to user.

I agree with sites are more effective then app. The sites can get traffic no matter what happens but in the case of ads in doesn't happens.

A mobile website is similar to any other website in that it consists of browser-based HTML pages that are linked together and accessed over the Internet . The obvious characteristic that distinguishes a mobile website from a standard website is the fact that it is designed for the smaller handheld display and touch-screen interface. Increasingly, responsive web design is becoming the new standard for websites that are not only mobile-friendly, but that can scale to any sized device - from desktop down to tablet and handheld smartphones.

The web is for audience reach, and mobile apps are driving engagement from loyal customers. If done right, both are strategic and valuable. So when it comes to mobile, it's not a question of web vs. mobile apps. It's picking the right approach that will yield better results for your customers.
