Most webmasters choose to gain backlinks from other sites which are broken by offering them good and quality content with respect to the previous referred link. What methods do you guys use to outreach the site owners? And in your opinion is this a good method to gain links?

Yeah, obviously it is good technique to gain quality links.
The most used method to outreach other site owners is to contact them through their emails. I myself had used this method many times but it takes time and patience to get the job done, and moreover the return is low. So, now I prefer twitter to contact them directly it takes less time and also its easy to do.

Although in my opinion this technique is slow and takes time but still its effective. And I prefer to mail them politely, yeah it might have low conversions but this works fine.
