301 redirects which I did through .htaccess files arn't working!!

My subject explains the problem itself. I have reuploaded the file twice but nothing.

If you are using shared hosting the probably you are also using cPanel.

Then why don't you just use their redirect option to do all the redirects its far more simple and effective
