Well most certainly you have to build strategic links to the keyword's page.

But it has to be done with extreme precaution and utmost precision. Otherwise, search engine will red flag you for tying to manipulate the SERP's.

Specific keywords means major keywords. I would recommend to vary it and make it long tail keyword to target most of your users.

Hello,

If you want rank any keywords I will share some points you will follow:

#1. Improve On-page like meta tags, h1 tags, alt tags, internal links etc. of the website
#2. Add more content on the pages
#3. Add images or video on the pages
#4. Add Rich Snippet Tags
#5. Increase referring domains or backlinks.

I am following these strategy for my projects this works for me. If you follow will get start ranking on any keywords.
