Canonical tags are ignored by Google

Google is ignoring all canonical tags. What to do now?

Please explain the situation of yours.

There are two pages. One is the homepage and another one is the landing page. Both have similar content types.Now I want to rank the lp so I have used canonical tags. But it seems that Google is avoiding all of my tags and ranking the homepage instead.

How much time has passed since you added the canonical tags anyway?

hii,
first of all google will never ignored Canonical tags ,if you have to over come your problem do 301 redirection .

Its not like that OP doesn't need those secondary pages. Haven't your read what OP said its homepage? So, stop making foolish statements.

And to OP I say give it one or two weeks more, then do something.

Homepages are always better in rankings than any other pages. So, it might take some time.
