Strange !! It is not just me..
I have came across many who have said that in this weekend. There were times when SERP's had pages which doesn't even load.

lootmeup Can be a browser issue as well. These days Chrome creates much problem than Google itself.

In the past weeks, I noticed that there was an issue with all the Shopify websites, the issue was from the server end.
That may be the reason sites weren't loading.
It may be a coincidence that those sites you were checking were from the tech niche. I noticed the same thing for e-commerce websites.
