To me both are same, previous year i had spend about $500 on both and they gave me well return. Both numbers are kind of same.

I don't have any good experience with facebook, people visits a lot but no conversions, rather adwords have given me much better.

Both are good and both returns well too. It depends on the factors that how you are administering your ad program. Customizable landing pages, catchy content, breath taking images & infographs, well geo-targated campaign plans etc.
