Does PBN networks still work??

Does PBN networks still work for getting backlinks? I am willing to build different blogs on paid hosted domains and link back from them to mine. Can I do that? Or will i be penalized?

Yeah it may work. But it doesn't matter that you are linking from paid or non-paid hosting blogs. As long as they are untraceable back to you.
