Is it worth it? Yeah, that's totally. As it brings targeted quality audience for free.
But you can get same amount & type of traffic easily for much less effort by other means such as forum marketing.

Sure its a fine idea to use reddit for marketing. But it is also true that it is very hard. As you have to be super patient, persistent and really good at your work.

No its not. Its hard to get a slice of traffic from reddit. Which is not worth the work for a small blog.
