Creating a Pop-up for sign ups

Is creating a pop-up window for email sign ups a good option for mobile sites?

People create them and many webmasters encourage them too. But I personally don't like it because they are very annoying. Mobile screens are already small ones if you clatter the view of the users with pop-ups probably they will see you as very greedy site owner.

Ask yourself this question what you will do if you see a pop up in your mobile window? Yeah!!! That's right its very odd and disturbing.

I personally avoid this kind of things. User experience is a main element when it comes to any business. And clearly it hinders it.

Mobile screens are generally small and you want clatter them with pop-ups !!. That might not be a good idea.
