There can be many reasons for that.
- Incentive offers.
- Low competition.
- Product seller is of high reputation.
- Product is referred by high reputable organization or person.
- People already know the product and all aware of its outcome.
- Service of product maybe average but it gets the concerned job done.
- The owner of the product is doing a pretty good job targeting the right market and audience.
- The product is free or very cheap compared to its competitors.

Have you seen most of the affiliate landing pages? They are indeed sleezy looking. Then why they get conversions?
Because the reason is that they make a compelling statement either through their content or in any other way. People don't want something because its good or it may gain them some advantage. People buy things because they need it.
Provide something which is actionable. The landing pages maybe sleezy but the visitors who are coming to those pages already committed so it doesn't matter.
