Targeting Keywords for maximum productivity
#1
How to target keywords which can get me maximum productivity and conversions for my site? Targeting relevant keywords are always a good thing to do but what if the competition for the specific keyword is very high?

Targeting keywords for maximum conversions while the competition is high is not easy at all but it is also not impossible. To outstand others first of all the topic which is the specific keyword is covering must have to be build strategically (placing the relevant and related keywords) and also the content has to be unique that provides some value.
In this era of semantic search you don't have to rank specifically for one keyword. Try to rank for the keywords whose contextual meaning means the same of the original keyword. Place your keyword in the positions of the content body where you wants your CTR to be high.

I agree with your frank. Along with on-page factors content has also to be good for a keyword to rank. But I think that to get conversions along with content your off-page factors has also to be good otherwise you will not get ranked well and you will be having less conversions then intended. Try to basically to rank higher by building quality links, getting more and more social shares, and also try to outreach your clients through conventional techniques such as press releases. In this way you earn some good links also which will be resulting in ranking higher and getting conversions.
