I have been looking into how people actually go about setting up a DAO, and I am realizing that the legal side can be a lot more complicated than I first thought. There are questions around the right legal structure, governance, member responsibilities, tokens, and compliance that I wouldn’t want to overlook.
I came across DAO formation legal services while researching this and it seems like getting legal advice early could save a lot of trouble later.
For those who have already launched a DAO, did you work with a lawyer or handle the legal setup yourself?
Were there any legal issues that surprised you during the process? I would really like to hear what others experienced before making any decisions.
